Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Portaldot’s growth closely, especially with Zealy Season 4 and the newly launched forum. One pattern is becoming clear a lot of people join through quests, complete the tasks, earn XP and then disappear.
This isn’t unique to Portaldot, most Web3 projects face the same issue. The challenge is turning short-term reward hunters into long-term users and builders.
What I’ve Observed
- Most current activity is task-driven (Zealy, forum posts and basic interactions).
- Real discussions about the protocol, use cases or ongoing development are still limited.
- Many users complete the required actions but don’t stick around to explore the network or contribute further.
How We Can Convert Them
Here are a few practical ideas:
- Clear Next Step After Zealy
After finishing Season 4 tasks, users should see a clear path for example, “Now try a real transaction on Mainnet V3.0” or “Join a Hacker House team / test a specific feature.” - Recognition for Real Contribution
People who create meaningful forum topics, help others or share useful feedback should get extra visibility or Engage Points. This rewards quality over quantity. - Builder Spotlight
Weekly highlight of users who are actually building or actively testing the network. This shows others what’s possible beyond quests. - Connect Forum + Discord + Product
Make it easier for people who post good ideas here to continue the conversation in Discord or get direct feedback from the team.
My Question to the Community
What do you think is the most effective way for Portaldot to keep users after they finish their Zealy tasks?
Is it better education, more hands-on activities, stronger recognition or something else?
Looking forward to your thoughts.
